How soon should I call you if I suspect a water damage in my home? 
You should call IMMEDIATELY if you suspect a water damage has occurred in your home. Our technicians are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week (even on holidays) for emergency water damage services. 

Will insurance cover the cost of my water damage? 
Emerald Coast Carpet Cleaning, LLC is experienced in working with insurance adjusters in Baldwin County.  Whether or not your water damage will be covered is dependent upon your specific policy. But we will work with the property owner and insurance adjuster to ensure that all repairs are completed in a safe, cost effective, and timely manner . 

What can cause a water damage? 
Many circumstances can lead to a water damage - leaky pipes, faulty appliances, overflow of sinks/bathtubs, toilet leaks, sewer backups, faulty supply lines on toilets & ice makers just to name a few. 

What if guests are in a condo unit during a water damage? 
At Emerald Coast Carpet Cleaning we specialize in water damage restoration along the Gulf Coast in Orange Beach & Gulf Shores, Alabama and Perdido Key, Florida. We understand what a nuisance a water damage can be when you are a guest or a condo owner. In order to properly dry out the water, equipment does have to be placed in the unit. We try to be as unobtrustive as possible and work quickly to get the unit dried out so that guests can enjoy the rest of their vacation. Sometimes it is necessary to move guests to another unit to properly dry it out. 

Will my furniture be ruined if it gets wet? 
Not necessarily. Our trained technicians will survey the damage and work with insurance adjusters (if applicable) to assess what needs to be replaced versus what can be remediated. 

Will my floors need to be replaced?
Again, not necessarily. Our technicians are trained to know if flooring can be repaired to it's original condition or if it will need to be replaced. Should it need replacing, we have floor installers on staff. If your flooring doesn't need to be replaced, it will be cleaned once the water damage restoration is completed. 

What is "black water"?
Black water is contaminated water that could cause serious injuries or even death to those exposed to it. Examples of "black water" are sewage spills, floodwaters, and standing water. Anything that is exposed to "black water" must be removed from the structure.

If you prefer to have someone else do the repairs, that is always an option as well.
